ERAS OF COMPUTATION
TOUCH DESIGNER + INTERACTIVE + IMMERSIVE ART + MOTION
Visuals are separated in 3 parts:
1. ANALOG: Inspired by the Antikythera mechanism; one of the first computational devices. The visuals represent organic nature, tactility, and human driven computation.
2. DIGITAL: An abstract representation of binary logic through repetition, lines, precision and order (our current computation era).
3. QUANTUM: A visualization of quantum computation while exploring instability, simultaneity, and overlap reflecting the ever-changing nature of quantum systems.
Three Eras of Computation — Interactive Spatial Experience
Three Eras of Computation is an interactive and immersive visual experience that explores the evolution of computing through motion, space, and user-driven interaction. The project translates three major technological eras: Analog, Digital, and Quantum, into abstract visual systems that respond in real time to user input.
Built in TouchDesigner, the experience uses Leap Motion hand-tracking to map physical gestures such as pinching to draw and grabbing to erase directly on projected visuals.
